    Default Burls.

    Hi RSG,
I have heard of Bushman, using a very sharp Axe, swinging from the bottom, & cutting up into a particular Tree, cutting a huge Scarf?? then they knock some Grey Granite Rock Pieces up into the cut, then bandage it up, not sure with what, & just leave it.
They must check it from time to time, I wood think.
So that is 1 way of making Burls.
Most likely the same as a Tree every now & then, will have a great hunk of No.8 Twisted Wire through it.
    Regards,
    issatree.

I'd heard of the timber but didn't know what it or the tree looked like, until I was on an island off BC, Canada last year, and someone identified it to me. Here's a pic.
