Hi All, JUST returned from a weekend down in the Snowy Mountains National Park, no reception but plenty of bushbashing and fine wine!
l live in Camden about 50km south-west of Sydney BUT that puts me on the Melbourne and Canberra side of the Sydney traffic AND there is easy access from the North and West by using the M7 ring road around Sydney. For example it takes me 1.25 hours to drive to Katoomba, 2.25 hours to Canberra, 1 hour to Wollongong, 2.5 hours to Newcastle. The closest stations are Campbelltown and Macarthur and l can arrange a shuttle from those if required ,
Since posting this thread, l have had a number of offers of even more tools and processes to be used on the day!
There has been so much interest that I doubt anyone is prepared to wait until March AND the middle day of a long weekend may be difficult for many so how does Sunday 31st January suit most?

I would be seriously thinking about coming up the road for this .
As I mentioned, I think it's a great idea.
But have already committed to Dave GTG .
And if I ask to go to two GTG that close .
This forum may become my only relationship .
But I am just one of many

Sorry Dave, you had told me of your Oz Day GTG and l don't want to clash with that.
To avoid Dave's Oz Day bash, Sturt Workshop and the TTTG it will have to be March 6 .......... or 13?
So, executive decision,

I've committed Dirk & myself to do the trek to Dave's Australia Day Foray, so a bit later would be better for me.

As the shed clean up continues, I have also become aware of the number of joinery jigs I have. There is a difference however in that I DO use them all but would anyone be interested in a second DIY GTG later in the year on joinery jigs?
I have;
Gifkin dovetail
Gifkin finger jointer
Leigh D24
Hegner finger jointer
multiple generic dovetail jigs
AND saw, gauge and chisel ;-)
