You would be most welcome Peter but, should you have too much to drink, l will NOT be pushing you back up that hill!
Mind you, when l start my running season each year about March, l do run Razorback for training .... but l still won't push you back up the hill!

I would like to attend too, and I can bring my version of a Tormek sharpener for show and tell. It is 3 phase, so no demo's. Should be a great day.

Better than leading with anything else.

Bit of engineering required to do that. Might be worth cobbling up an exercise bike to it, and attendees can take turns in powering it up.

I do have a VFD that could be hooked up to Al's machine. But the motor must be connected in delta. Let me know if you want to give it a go Al.

I still think that is the best way to go.

Not sure if it is worth the hassle, but I will have a look at the motor connection box and let you know. It is only a small motor, 2850RPM and maybe 1/4HP from memory. Anyway, I will have a squizz and let you know.

O.K, have checked the motor, it is a .37Kw and connected as per these photos. Hope they make sense.
Looks like this motor is easily connected to a VFD by someone who knows what they are doing, but not me.

Looks like the Poms know how to make a user friendly motor. The reason I ended up with a 3 phase motor was I had a mate who worked for Betts Electric Motors, the size was right, and the price was very right.

Looking forward to a great day.
