Hey all,

As part of our Kitchen renovations, I'm going to have to downsize an external sliding door. Currently I've got a timber Two-panel door, which needs to be replaced with a single (non sliding) door - leaving a massive hole in the brickwork. Reasoning behind this is that the new kitchen cabinets are going to be partially covering the glass door due to us expanding out the kitchen floor plan.

At this point of time I'm thinking of just filling the hole with weatherboard and painting it to match. Not my first option but the brickwork is 30+ years old and I doubt I'm going to be able to match the same crappy bricks lol

Is this the best approach to something like this or are there better ways to fill a door sized gap?

E.
