Bar Spirits dispenser
Hi guys
was just wondering ,I'm building a timber wine barrel type of thing /spirits dispenser, for my bar top!
but was having second thoughts on lining the inside with polyester resin ?? ..
Will the alcohol / spirits dissolve the dried resin and make the scotch /spirit taste like crap ??
What else can i use as the internal shape is not an even common shape ??
Any help and feedback will be greatly appreciated..

My first thought is to go and see a cooper and get a proper one made. I would not uses polyester resin, or any other coating on the inside.
Cheers

You can get a three litre wooden keg for $130, made of American Oak and charred on the inside for proper spirit aging. I don't think you could properly DIY cooper one for that sort of amount unless you happen to have coopering skills and timber on-hand.
You could just chuck in a bladder from a wine/port cask as a cheap food safe liner though.
