Default 100 year old rafters on the Slabmaster

    Hi,
just thought I'd share my days work on the SlabMaster. I got this timber from the demolition yard. Apparently it is from a 100 year factory!
It is my second go with the machine, the big plus is I can machine finish the edges. Great for joining and edging. It will work up to about 350mm which is out of limits on the 15" thicknesser.
The nails don't bother the cutting head either, they get eaten with the timber cut.
I set up another one for tomorrow, much thinner rafters from the same job and a bit lighter.
I usually glue the lot in one go, but ran out of glue. Will post a few more pics as I go!

Looking good. I would love a SlabMaster.

Any idea what the timber is?

I buy it as hardwood, but I don't know my timber. I will dress it tomorrow, so I will post it and maybe someone might know!

The first pic is an epoxy resin to fill nail holes etc, the next 3 are the bottom of the table dressed to 120 grit. The last two pics is the thinner top. Gluing it today.
