Why stop at Chanel 9, the other commercial stations are just as bad.
It seems that as picture definition and sound quality have improved, the production standards and content quality have declined. Not only that, program managers seem fit to change times and shift programs around willy nilly. Perhaps we are getting the television we deserve and what is happening is a result of internet sites such as Kickass and Pirate Bay. Why would television stations shell out millions on purchasing the rights to quality programs and movies when people are downloading them.
I'm watching TV less and less now and find myself reading or using Netflix.

That new SBS Food Channel I thought would have had LOML glued to nope not once although she does watch Jamie on tuther channel.
Its time we demanded some REAL FTA TV channels one for cars no not motor sport all those restoration type shows car factory shows and another for wood and metal work
No need to by your own tools watch some other dope do it all.
Brett I do see your point we have on occasions hassles with a few channels mostly due to weather conditions such as ABC just drops out during hight temps now thats been happening since the 60's. Then during high winds and storms we loose WIN and the Gong channels can't really complain as we get their counterparts in Sydney.
The SBS and ABC radio channels come through but never listen to those.

Gentlemen, does anyone mind if we keep this on the original track? I couldn't give a sod about any other channel or program because I don't watch them - at all. All I want is the cricket, which is on 90, and so I am looking for a solution to the lack of video, not the meaning of life.

I'm in Glenbrook, so probably getting the signal from the same tower as you. Try removing/deleting all Channel 9 channels from your list, and rescan digital Channel 8. Yes, 8.
See if that works.

Check your manual, does your TV have MPEG4 compatibility.

Watch it on another channel. It'll probably be on more than Channel 90. If not wait a few hours and watch thew encore on another 9 channel if it isn't pixelating or off the air.
Bloody Free to Air TV has gone to the dogs. More encore programs and repeated series touted as new series than you can poke a stick at. Stupid lifestyle shows that run 15 minutes over time all the time. Pixelated ABC and almost every other channel when there is lightening within 300km of the set.
Bring back entertainment and proper programming and get rid of the clowns who run it all now.
Couldn't care less if it's off topic.
Go talk to Sony.
