    Default Couple of birds

Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo taken down the river yesterday.
White-bellied Blue Heron taken out the back of our place this morning. He was quite a long way off and I had just switched from the 600 lense to the 300 S--t happens.
    Cheers Frank

    Great Stuff Frank.

Your right about the cack happening I've been caught to many times.

For early morning strolls I take two bodies one has the 600 on it and the other a 300.
And an 18-55 in my pocket.

But it doesn't matter how much your packing, you'll always get caught out from time to time!.

    Cheers mate

I know what you mean about not having the right lens on.
I am lucky in that I use the Sigmonster,it is great being able to zoom from 300-800 although don't often use it at the short end except for location purposes.
Having a 500 or 600 prime never really appealed to me much although the image stabilisation would be nice.Up Until a couple of years ago I didn't have any bird in flight shots,it is not a strength of the Sigmonster.
Good effort with the in-flight shots as I know they are tricky even with a large slow-flying bird.
