Default Triton Router - To Buy or Not To Buy?

Triton Router - To Buy or Not To Buy, That is the question.

I am thinking of buyin a new Triton Router to use in a table. I know they have been bought out by GMC but I am thinking if I get one now, chances are it will still be a triton proper.

Most of you have more experiance with wood work that I do, so I am putting it to you. Should I or souldn't I & Why.

$349 is not a huge amount to spend, but it is a lot to waste

    Thank you for your help.

    I have one.

They are perfect for table use.

    Go for it.

For a table, there's none better (maybe some equal). Just do it.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

    Thumbs up

I've had a Bosch blue for 4.5 years and I love it - but it's showing it's age, and I got a good deal, so I bought myself a Triton recently.

If you want to use it in a table full time, buy it. Built like a brick ****house and all the features you need in a table.

If you want a general purpose or handheld router, there are definitely better options - including the Bosch. The Triton is one heavy piece of kit, and not something I'd want to be swinging around delicate work.

I bought a Triton Router and table a couple of weeks ago after seeking some advice on this site. I'm very impressed with it and how easy it is to use and set up. My old man was over on the weekend and had a look at it. Now he wants one.
