Hey I have just finished my stand for the Lathe. There are things that I would have done differently, but oh well.
Just have a look at the following links and they should give you an idea of what a good stand is made of. They aren't all plans but just looking at the pictures will help you with the construction. http://www.kestrelcreek.com/Lathe/Lathe_Bench.htm http://www.davidillig.com/awg/lathestand.shtml http://www.teknatool.com/pdf/wooden.pdf

Hope this helps otherwise type lathe stand in yahoo or some other search engine.

I found one for a DVR 3000 lathe but should be easily adapted to other lathes. It's part of the user manual and you can find it here http://www.teknatool.com/products/La...ember%2003.pdf The good thing about this is it also discusses how to get the correct height for the lathe.

    Regards,

    Martin.
