    Default Deer Abrasives

I was given a sample of a ROS disc to try. It was a 6" 180 grit disc. I used it on a panel of Queensland maple and I have to say I am impressed. After 10 mins sanding this thing doesn't show any sign of wear at all. In fact, after blowing it off with compressed air, it looks perfect. I noticed it seemed to 'breathe' very well during sanding.

Is anyone familiar with these discs?
    Are they expensive?
Are they as good as they seem to be?
Is there better and cheaper available? (not just cheaper)

Click here for their website or here for their catalog
(no, I have nothing to do with the company, I'm not a shill).

Hi Steve, I was given one by a local retailer to try, so I assume they should be available locally.

I tried using a deer as an abrasive but found they are a bit heavy to move around and the antlers get in the way.
