Sydney timber suppliers?

I will be visiting Australia for about a month from about the middle of February.

Can anybody give me details of where in Sydney (preferably North of the harbour)I could get a few blanks of Australian species, burrs, banksia nuts to take back with me?

Yes, Trend are in Sydney, a fair way west but worth checking out. If you're going out there, you could also check out Canalpie timbers at Nth Richmond 02 4571 1570.

Make sure you also visit Brads Burls. They (last time I was there) have an excellent range of burls and craftwoods in lots of different timbers. Last time I visited I ended up with a car full of very nice timber. They have a web site at:

Thanks for the replies - I also got a couple of emails about Brad's Burls so I guess I'll give it a go when I head south in about 10 days time.
