Best paint for kids toys
I am in the process of making some toys for my kids (boy 2.5 years, girl 9 months). Aside from the usual advice about using non-toxic paints, because they will end up in little mouths):
1. does anyone have a recommendation for a kind or brand of paint that is tough, safe, comes in bright colours and retains its brightness?
2. any recommended undercoat or primer to go with your recommended paint?
3. any recommended laquer to go over the top of the paint?
4. does your recommended finish brush on well or does it require or benefit from spraying?
5. any other thoughts that I should bear in mind?
I know that I could find all this out by research but I thought I would ask you guys first to cut down on the conflicting information that research always seems to throw up!!!

Paint for kids toys - PS
I know there was a thread on this recently but it sort of petered out before a definite view was reached although the idea of Cabots Crystal Clear and Resene colours seemed good.

G'day jmk89,
I make kids toys for charity and I just use sample pots of paint which Bunnies donate to me and then cover with 2 coats Cabots Crystal Clear.
Works for me and my Grandad did the same and some of his toys are shiny years later.
