    Wink camphor table

    i am going to make a coffy table out of a large section camphorlaurel trunk and was after advise and sugestions.

    is it ok to cut it to a slab green or is it likly to crack?

    can i cut it on a diagonal to get the most out of the piece or will it increace the likly hood of cracking?

    what is the best sealant to use?

    Yep, Weisbyo, wrong part of Forum, but lets live dangerously.....

    Cut the CL green, but seal the ends and leave for about 3 months, If you store it correctly, (ie clamped so it can't twist) it will neither warp nor crack.

    CL dries very quickly and is easy to work.

    When complete it has the most beautiful figure to it.
