Default Where I used to live. (Nearly)

These pics were taken by a friend last week.

I used to live just west of Longreach.

These photos were taken further West than where I lived.

They are stunning but, it may give you an idea of why I live where I live now.

    No wonder you moved.
Hardly any trees out there to cut down for wood supply!
How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

I now have an idea why my grandparents, married in Longreach long ago, moved also. We are going to pay a visit one day. Thanks Cliff.

Longreach is not as barren as this, also not as spectacular.

The photo of the river (creek) & the one with the fence in it are very similar.

Although there are some around Longreach, you really have to go out past Winton to see hills like the ones in the pictures.

    Default Hills

Them hills look like the ones in the North west of west Oz, I have been past those in the photo during one of my journeys over East. Had to detour out past Boulia as I could not get through North of Winton, them days the dirt road was still a going thing and the bitumen road was not even started.
