unclear what you are after
are you after a glue that will permanently bond the mdf and plastic together, or are you trying to temporarily bond a pattern to the plastic to cut out?Brett

They had glue at the plastics place when I got some, i used it to glue the plastic to mallee burl and it worked fine. Check at the place you got your plastic.

Start with some basic tests, and let us know the results.
Is it rigid or flexible.
Is it brittle.
Does it feel slippery to the touch.
Does have any odour - if so describe it.
Drip some water on it. Does the water bead up, or spread out.
How thick is it.
Cut a small piece off, and hold it under a lighter:
Does it readily burn.
Does it drip burning droplets
Does it smoke when burning
Black smoke
Grey smoke
When you remove the flame does it
go out immediately
keep burning
Sniff the smoke.... is it extremely acrid
It's probably worthwhile trying a small piece, with contact adhesive. Another thought...ask your supllier what it is, and what to glue it with.Chris

Wot Bob said, some plastics such as polypropylene & polyethylene are two that come to mind, they are waxy to the touch and resistant to most solvents, making gluing difficult.
Determine what type of plastic yours is, then google "gluing nylon" or whatever yours is; or contact the supplier for advice.

Keju, dunno about Gorilla polyurethane glue here but in the adhesives at your hardware there is the Selleys version (dear) & another called Vise.

Thought I'd throw in my two cents on this one. I use CA glue...the thickest medium when gluing plastics to wood. Doesn't take alot of it but you have to be fairly quick and dead on when you put the two pieces together cause it sets up quickly and you can't adust it after about 30 to 40 seconds. I cut a lot of 1/8" acrylic mirror and this glue hasn't failed me yet.
