Router or Trimmer
Hi to all, I planning to build my own kitchen cabinets using double sided melamine boards. I'm undecided whether to buy a makita laminate trimmer or maktec router which are roughly the same price.
Thanks in advance for your advices.

I would opt for the laminate trimmer myself. I have the Ryobi TR30U. Their smaller size and weight allow better control in tight quarters than a full sized router would and there is no such thing as too many routers (six and more to come). Add to your arsenal with versatility in mind. My .02Cdn.

If you have a tradetools in somewhere, then also have a look at the makita clone they sell for about $100. I have had years of troublefree service from mine. If you get that you could also afford a router as well!
Cheers
Michael
