    Just checking out where the best place to get recycled hardwood to build a table around sydney.

    it is a fairly small table and won't be a solid top.... it is just a tabletop frame with glass and legs. The internal frame will be made of pine.

    That was a similar thought that I had too Gumby, ya beat me to it

    It ain't quite Sydney but I happen to know a building wrecker on the Central Coast that sells used hardwood for cheaper than used oregon. Of course you'd have to de-nail it but @ $3 to $5 per metre you'd do a lot worse...

    We get a supply everytime we are over there. But then I've always got the sawmill specialising in river red gum (green and KD) just over the hill too.
