Improving the finish
Hi all,
Have done some more pens - see thumbnails. Top left is Macassar Ebony, next right is Acacia (part of one of our cootamundra wattle trees) and the top right is a piece of local Stringybark. The cream one laying on the penstand is a piece of a locally grown ornamental plum tree (outer wood) - unfortunately I made it too thin near the nib end and fractured it a little while assembling. I am very pleased with the finish on the two in the plastic cases. I used EEE ultra shine and Shellawax on these two. The one on left is Jarrah and the other is Ironwood, both of which polished up nice and shiny. Welcome your feedback as to line and dimensions etc..
Oh, by the way, what is a reasonable price to charge for the one from Skew's wood, which we are selling for charity??? I've never sold one before!
Regards
Humber

nice for a slimline pricing I would not ask under $20 especially since it charity. You have to cover your time and costs.

Thanks Toni,
That gives me a price to ask for. What do we do with the money - do we send it to Skew to donate to his charity - or donate it to one we pick ourselves??
Cheers
