    Default Who likes Rooibos tea

Not really cooking I know. We bought some TickTock Rooibos tea the other day and I have to say it smells like horse p**s. Tastes like... well don't know about that

Wiki said the flavour had been described as nutty. I think nutty as in the Austin Powers scene of confused coffee and stool sample. (youtube it)

    So who does like it?

    Cheers
    Michael

I quite like Rooibos tea & drink it regularly. I've never thought of it as smelling like horse p*ss, nor do i think it has a particularly nutty flavor. To me it tastes a lot like tea. lol

Figured out why it tasted like horse p**s, I was doing something wrong in the making. The tea bag was getting far too close to the water.

Seriously though the flavour is starting to grow on me.

Rooibos is great but I find the basic product is often enhanced by blending with other ingredients. Purists would probably scoff and say that this blend is thereafter no longer rooibos tea per se. Pure rooibos does tend to grow on you over time.
IMHO, use of a teabag is certainly not helping. Loose leaf and a tea pot will greatly enhance any infusion you are brewing.

    LOOOVE THE STUFF!

Siper high in anti-oxidants! whenever I have a cold/flu I OD on the stuff with honey and lemon.

My wife swears by the stuff now too!

    It also nice cold.

We buy the Vital brand from Coles.

I'm just sitting down to a Nerada Organics Rooibos with vanilla flavour. It's a really nice one...
