Oh, Willllllllllgaaaaa!
I think Wilga is a much under-appreciated wood - it can look pretty boring as a blank, but turning can reveal some very subtle and complex figure. Normally the large American pens don't do much for me - too much metal & plastic - but in this case the "furniture" really serves to show off the Wilga's subtle beauty.
Skew, I think the Brigalow is as claimed - it's more spectacular when the yellow sapwood is present for contrast, but the red heartwood can have some golden highlights, as in Matt's example.
BTW, nice work, Matt!Subvert the dominant paradigm!
