Garage Roller Door
Hi All
what do I have to do to service my garage roller door. ??? How do I get the door to roll easily. It is in good condition but has not been used much so it is quite an effort to get it to roll up. Someone suggested silicon spray but not sure if this is right & where to spray it. Would like to instal a remote but was quoted double to service door & then instal remote.
Any advice really appreciated.

You spray the silicon in the door tracks, if the door is hard to operate it may also need the spring retensioned ( not recomened for a novice), most door installers would fit a opener and service it at the same time, in SA this would cost about $600, including the opener

boydi, just to be clear about the danger, the roller door can KILL you. Do not undo the springs unless you are crystal clear on what you are doing.

Thankyou to all for advice. I think for this one I will just shop around until I get the best price.
