    First post to this site but have been reading a lot today and from the sound of things you guy's are part of a knowledgeable group and have a well developed forum. I know that I'll learn a lot from you and hope that I can share some insight to you as well. Have some questions that I'll get to a little later, just wanted to introduce myself and show a little of what I've done.

    Here's my shop and some of my projects;

    Welcome Troy, love your shed, particularly your dust collection system.

    Once you have found your way around and got settled in, perhaps you'd like to give us a few more details of that?

    Some nice projects there also

    Thumbs up Welcome

    A big welcome to this madhouse and its menagerie of miscreants!

    You have already disgraced your self by showing off the neatest workshop
    (shed In pure Australian) that I have ever seen.

    And as for the dust collection system, that was a fairly easy project just took a little time to construct being that I haven't worked with metal before. The plans came from a Magazine, I'll find it and post which one it's in. This is a Cyclone Type System and very effective, except when the plastic blast gates get clogged up with fine dust and don't close all the way, like mine is now. Got to figure out how to fix that. Seen an article on making them out of wood, may try that on a couple to see how it works. Anyway I'll get back to you on more details of the system.

    Thanks again for the welcome!

    Also about the blast gates these might interest you http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.a...t=1,42401&ap=1

    Don't know how good they work.
