    Default Edge Mouse

Does anyone remember those funny little mice that you set on the edge of things, tables, computers shelves, etc, that their heads kind of peak over the edge while the body sits on the shelf?

They are very simple, I remember carving them when I first started.

I can't remember what they are called and my googling didn't pull them up.

Does anyone know where to obtain the pattern and if there were any variations of the patterns?

I thought it would be fun to make a few as gifts.

    Cheers and thanks

Never seen 'em but they sound cool

Hey...We should make mice that stick to the ceiling so they look all Mission Impossibleish. Like if Tom Cruise was a small rodent.

    lol, that would be funny.

Here's a rough sketch of what they looked like more or less, I could just draw one myself I suppose but I was being lazy. I was surprised when a google search didn't pull anything up about them, but I suppose I'm just not using the right search term.

They are really more of a beginners project or a whittling project, very easy and quick to make, but fun.

I have also been looking for this pattern and came across the magazine while visiting the Hamilton Wood Show yesterday. Carving magazine's 2006 Holiday issue has the pattern as well as step by step instructions and pictures on how to carve one.Hope this helps you out.
