Smile how to get rid of wood varnish odour

Can anyone please help me with a solution to rid a sideboard from a strong wood varnish smell inside the drawers and cupboard.
I recently purchased an item from an auction that i cannot return. The smell inside the drawers is overwhelming and is taking over the whole house.
Can anyone please tell me what to do to get rid of the varnish smell that is giving me a headache!
    thanks

The best is to leave the drawers and cupboards open so that the smell can escape. Keeping them closed is building up the odor so that next time you open them you get full strength. Perhaps if you can move the sideboard under a verandah or carport so it can breath outdoors will at least stop the smell wafting through the house. Once the varnish has cured the smell should stop.
I have heard Kitty Litter absorbs smells but have never tried it so do so as an experiement if you think it will help.

    Thanks Pusser
The only reason I responded was because nobody had replied.
