I also use J&C Thin timbers, and recommend them highly, they have a good range, good price and mill them to whatever thickness you need.

We also bought a thicknesser a while back.. really good to have, but did find out that the cheapie wasn't much good on things like redgum.... for that we still have to go to the club.

thanks for the help and suggestions everyone.... and yes, I'd come to the conclusion that a thicknesser was going to be my next purchase... just won't tell the wife just yet, lol.

Haven't been on here in a while and just seen you FINALLY got the saw, Ripcat. Pleased this one is up and running OK. I felt so bad for you. Good luck finding your timber.
