Help - Paslode Gas for Angled Gun
Hi all
I have myself a Paslode angled nailer which has been fantastic except I made the mistake of leaving the black tops pressed down after usage, not aware that they they could leak. I assumed I had faulty gas cartridges after it happened on the second and third!
Problem is I now have lots of nails and no gas.
Everyone I have spoken to has told me that you cannot purchase these small gas cartridges separately! Does anyone on here know if this is the case and if not where they may be available?
Thanking you in advance

G'day Sikmrex, I also have done the same thing with My Paslode gun and what you have said used to be the case.
I just rang Mitre 10 (Wife works there) and they say that paslode cylinders are now available on their own, or there is a 3 pak of non genuine cylinders available quite a bit cheaper. When they sourced these cylinders they gave a few to local tradies to test and they all said they were fine. I dont know the brand but "Magnum" comes to mind.
By the way, I wasn't aware you could lift the black top off the cylinder once it was pushed down, might try it with the next one.
Anyway , hope I have been some help.
Cheers Steven. The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

The framing gun canisters are available but as yet I have not found the smaller angle nailer sizes.
Everyone I have spoken to have not spoken too highly of the Magnum gas!

Well, I went into Mitre10 today and yes, the gas bottles for the angled finish nailer are only available with nails, so even if your gas doesn't leak you still finish up with a ship load of nails after the gas has run out through normal usage.
I mentioned to the mire10 bloke that you had not heard very good reports about the magnum canisters and he seemed surprised. He had heard only good things , in fact he gave me a freebie to try.
I reckon that at about $20 for a 3 pak it would be worth a punt and buy a pack and see for yourself. It is certainly better than spending a lot of dough and buying genuine gas and ending up with a squillion nails you may never use.
Cheers......Steven.The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.
