Simple answer is no. This is clearly a 'good faith' error and a reasonable person would not believe it was an actual price for that item.

Of course if you called them and told them nicely of their mistake and are in the market for that extractor then an extra discount might be offered - or not.

The law allows for 'good faith' errors to be remedied without obliging the business to sell at that price. If it seemed to be intentionally misleading that is another matter.

But as you would expect to be told and given your money back had you offered more than the item was advertised more you should not expect a windfall because of an error from a business.

of course nothing much lost in having a try-on.

Strangely, I had this argument the other day with them.
They advised me if i buy something from the net and the price is incorrect, then they will ring me up and advise me of the change.

I then advised them that at the bottom of the page they say that the price on the web page is correct, over that of the catalogue.

I think there will be a web update to change this very soon

plus i was giving him a bit of stick about it all. It was fun.
I got the item at the price i wanted anyway.

An "advertised" price is not an offer, it is simply an "invitation to treat". So if you see an item at say 5% of the usual price, you can put your offer in to purchase. The vendor can decline or accept as they see fit. There is no binding contract until the offer is made and accepted, and money changes hands.

Of course, advertising that is not bona fide may breach a range of laws - Trade Practices and others - but there is no remedy for a willing purchaser if the "sale price" is a mistake.

Old contract laws days here, but that's how it is.
