I got mine for a very good price too. The price matched it with CT's X'mas sales. I think it was around $$310 or something like that.

Price match against Sydney Tools they had it for $354, so bunnings done the match n 10%..

Very happy with it, I only had a chance to do a few test goes on some scrap timber yesterday with the 1 router bit but I was impressed!!!

Going to start the job of researching when router bits are the best way to go....

    As opposed to what ?

I default to the table saw so if that's your comparison then if you want a better finish or to remove stock in grooves quickly then the router wins.

The saw is more efficient at removing stock, and therefore feed rates are quicker. My new table has 100 mm depth of cut so that beats even the highest router bits I've seen.

No doubt we could start a religeous war on router table vs saw table vs band saw

    Long as your having fun..

Picked up a half inch router at Bunnings Port Melbourne on the Sydney Tools price match. same price as electricgreen
Also noticed they had the Random Orbital Sander on clearance at $35, they had about 10 left.

Did the ring around bit and the best price I found was $339 (Mazzega's Mitre 10 Home & Trade) so I headed off to Bunnings (Midland) and come out with a shiny new router (last one in stock) for $305, they had the list price as $380. I do love the price match less 10% deal.

That's the only one that's been there in months, and I think it lasted about three days.

Apart from that I've seen one in Bunnings Morley. I'm not sure that Balcatta had one at all when I was there.

The rest of the Triton stuff there is in boxes, not on proper display and hard to examine. I've never thought Bunnings Midland was serious about selling Triton.
