I wonder if he'll ever get around to scaling down the starter motor too?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

I spent the years from 1994 to 2000 in the USA living in Toledo, Ohio. This enabled me to attend the annual display by the "Weak Signals RC Club". The display also included boats, cars and scale engines. Some of the most impressive engines were a 1/6th scale 7 cylinder radial engine, a 1/4 scale V8 engine that fitted into a 1/4 scale Corvete or Chevy, a 1/6 scale Harley Davidson that sounded exactly as a full size and a 1/6 scale V10 truck engine that was mounted on a display frame. You turned the key and the V10 purred into life. All these engines were exact in every detail and they all ran flawlessly. There was also a twin row radial being developed as well. If you loved scale fighter aircraft, there were all kinds of turbo jet units that put out a thrust from 10 pounds up to 50 pounds. The last exhibition I attended before returning to Australia had a 1/6 scale Concorde with four jet turbines that produced a total of 200 pounds of thrust. My greatest thrill was to actually start one of the jet turbines myself, great stuff. All the jet engines ran on standard Jet Fuel. The most beautiful jet aircraft were scale F16's and F18 Hornets with two engines. The planes were 1.8 to 2.0 meters in wingspan. Lovely stuff, drool-drool!

Not tobe too picky but the original engine didn't have a gear drive for the cam (single row chain) and it would have been fitted with a generator not an alternator.

    Still amazing.

I've seen footage of supercharged V8's and a quad cam Ferrari engins of simmilar scale.
