    Default The ultimate Cubey?

    Another puzzle box...Cubey 4.
If you're very, very lucky, you could open this in just 6 moves...
..but it's more likey to take you up to 252 moves to open...

Very hard to open, just as hard to make...

Aha..... thought that looked familiar...... Scroll Saw Magazine..... you must be the same Bruce! lol
hmmmm..... here you say it's hard to make...... in the magazine you said:
"Only tricky cuts are insidee panel E"

bet it's like you said here..... HARD to make!

Don't think I'm game to try.... I like scrolling.... but I think this one calls for something that really cuts precise straight lines ( I'm not THAT good) I can cut straight, but not as straight as a drop saw, table saw or bandsaw....

    Straight cuts?
    Easy (If they're outside cuts).
    A mitre saw.
A good old fashioned hand-powered tenon saw.
    Inside cuts?
A scrollsaw and finish off with a file.
    Hammer and chisel.
    So what are difficult cuts?
    Curves and circles.
You may have noticed that not many of my puzzles have curves and/or circles.
Having said that, take a look at Cubey 4 plans....
    Aren't I a hypocrite?

lol...... give me curves and circles any day..... I can do those!
The rest.... ok if you have a fully set up shop.... and if you like noisy machinery that can mutilate you for life.
Me.... I stick with what I know inside out.... scroll saw... it doesn't attack or chew off any body parts and isn't too noisy either. Ok.... I can handle the drill press too and most of the dremel stuff....
We actually have most of the other "toys" but they aren't in my room... they are out in the shed and most have to be dragged out.... no fun...

So.... if it can't be done with just the scroll saw there's little chance it'll get done... at least not in this house

I do love your puzzles tho and I hope a lot of the experts here on the forum will give them a try.
