Brass Wood Screws - Don't think so!
Hi,
I have been trying to find some Brass oval head screws (8G x 32mm) and Brass Cup washers in Sydney.
What a joke! I found some screws at $1.00 each (Which was OK considering they are not available) but nobody has or stocks real solid brass screws anymore.
I can get the cup washers from the US but if anybody knows some where in Australia please let me know.
Have a great christmas
Regards
Greg

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Strungout,
I support the suggestion of Leevalley if you have the time but I have had great success in buying wierd and wonderful fasteners (ie everything NOT in Bunnings) at Nepean Boltmaster at Penrith. I work nearby if you have logistic issues.

Hi Greg
Bob's right. Most yacht chandlery's will stock brass screws at a reasonable price and bronze screws (much higher quality) at an expensive price.
You don't say where in Sydney you are but the Whitworths chain have stores in most areas, and there is a small old style chandlery next door to the Cruising Yacht Club in Rushcutters Bay.
Merry Christmas
Graeme

Thanks very much Fletty for your offer.I have heard about them but thought it was just "Nuts and Bolts"
I can usually get up thereno probs , so I will see what they have.
I have looked at LeeValley and I was going to place an order from them but I just prefer to buy local if possible.
Have a great Christmas all.
