Carving or just plane woodworking I like some: James Brown, Andrea Bocelli, Three Tennors, Michael Bubleeee, Frank, Tom, Ray, Sandy Shore, Roberta Flack,Chris Issac etc etc I also like to have the kettle going for a cuppa and I like to burn incense, Tangerine, Vanilla, Forest, Egyptian Rose. All adds to the creative impulses and lowers the negative waves man.

Dear Michael,
Amen Brother! Just the thing when your hands are too dirty to be popping in Classical CD's (which is usually the case...)
(also, please don't anyone say "The Righteous Brothers... especially "Unchained Melody..." Boom! Boom!... Couldn't help myself...)
Best Wishes,
Batpig.

Yes Batpig,
Apart from the nuisance of carting CDs from here to there, and the aforesaid dirty hands, lots of times I prefer to listen to other people's selections rather than my own.
Classic FM is 95% good, apart from (i) some of the rejects Margaret Throsby occasionally dredges up, and (ii) the station's insistence on sometimes playing Jazz. Mmmm. Did I just upset anyone?
For those (i) & (ii) periods I switch to 4MBS.
I sometimes put on one of my own CDs when I'm working, which I think I want to hear, but then decide that no, that's just not the right mood.
So despite Ms. Throsby's rejects and Jazz, Classic FM is the overall winner.

When I started it was prevalently House music and Techno. DJ Caffeine, Timo Maas, Prodigy.
Now Ive mellowed a bit and whilst still enjoy the hard style, I usually go for Pnau, Moby, The Verve, Tom Waits, Sigur Ros, Martha Wainwright, PeteMurray, Nirvana, MOGWAI, Lucky Dube, The Herd, Jack Johnson, Groove Armada and the list goes on...... When sanding I like the bass to be pumping, so will often have techno pumping out to the neighbours delight.
More often then not as of late, I just switch on Shuffle and see what Windows media Player pick out of the 70Gig of music."Ya cant trust a pig with watermelon ya know"
