    Default Heco speakers

    Hi guys,

I've had a pair heco speakers for quite sometime and I want to fix them up and use them as surround speakers and eventually fix the outside - before that stage I need a shed.
One of the 6.5inch woofer is missing and the tweeter's aren't quite in perfect condition. They have small dents.

The sticker on the back says the following:

    Interior Plus 202
    80/120 watt
    4-8 ohm
    4 ohm

Does any one know anything about these speaker? I've looked and can only find info on current Heco speakers. They look around 15years old and are made in germany.

I'm thinking of taking out the heco speaker and putting a pair of jaycar 6.5inch $40 speakers. Don't think that the $90 6.5 are really needed as they will probably be surround speakers.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about these speakers? and if putting the jaycar speaker is a fair match?
lastly will the dents affect the tweeters? - probably I'm thinking

    Thanks

the don't look anything startling to me.
Sealed box....so replacing the speakers with what ever fits will probaly work...as long as the sensitivities are close.

As for the dints in the tweeters.......you probably will be hard pressed to tell the diference.

    cheers

    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
