Default not all mine, but some finished carvings

I had the good fortune before Easter to attend one of Don Powell's 3 day carving workshops and came away with a partly completed carving that I finally finished yesterday. I did not mean to post a picture of it because there was significant input from Don, and I could hardly claim 20% as my own work, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. When I saw the photos Don wanted me to copy, my knees nearly buckled ( here they are ). Anyway, to finish it required some smaller tools with which I also decided to finally finish off the small jacaranda horse I carved a couple of years ago. The head is carved in Chilean myrtle. Sorry the photos aren't the greatest.
I'm looking forward to carving the head again myself. It's well worth contacting Don to put your name down for a workshop.
I had to use a flash so some of the detail is missing and it is glossier than in reality.

    Cheers
    Michael

    G'DAY Michael,

Well done, it is a great looking horse head. The myrtle does polish up just a treat.
    What finish did you use.

Terry it was FW floorseal diluted, followed by a couple of coats of their fine buffing oil.
