    Default stand or sit??

ok now just got to thinging this is a good point
after being at some club days

now i know some people can sit and carve
    and some some can stand

my bench stands 1000mm hight so its nice to stand at and carve

before i got my benchtop made for the super jaws
i had my carvers vice in the jaws
and sat it on a bar stool and carved away

    so how do you carve???

    I agree with Spirit.
I stand when I'm using chisels, an Arbortech or a die grinder and sit when using a Foredom and sanding.
The only bench that I have is for standing height which makes it rather uncomfortable to sit at as I can't reach the foot control for my Foredom easily. Ideally I need two benches

I stand as long as I'm able then pull up a stool for a little while, then stand again after a bit because it's awkward carving in a sitting position. I just keep alternating between the two.
My legs aren't what they used to be.

Yes Im the same as some others, stand to carve for better leverage and control Sit to sand as its usually laying down on the bench, and stand to oil as by then the sculpture is usually sitting up....
