Hi there

Just starting to renovate old wooden window frames. Once I have gotten them back to raw timber & repaired and sanded them, is there any reason not to use Taubmans 3 in 1 (for example) to seal the timber prior to puttying in the glass panes?

I am aware of the practice of using linseed oil to impede oils being drawn from putty into timber, but would prefer to '3 in 1' the entire frame if there is no reason not to do this, ie sealer affecting adhesive qualities of putty etc.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
