Bosch Sliding Compound Mitre Saw GCM10S
Hey guys!
I went to total tools today in Liverpool (sydney) and they had on special the gcm10s for $699. I asked the bloke why they were so cheap (usually up around the $1000) and he said the pallet that it came in was damaged, but there is no actually damage to the product, hence the discount.
So I went down to bunnings to see if they could beat that price/have the same product. They sure did, but the guy working in tools said they were different and someone else had already asked the same question that day. The saw at total tools comes with a spare blade, so I asked the bloke at bunnings if their one came with a spare blade and he said no, however on looking at the box, it came with a spare blade.
I have a sneaking suspicion bunnings does not want to sell there saws so cheap. Or I could be wrong, but I could swear they were the same models, the GCM10S is the base model of the 10 inches sliding saws (is a GCM10 but that's only a drop saw, no sliding), then the next is the GCM10SD which I believe is the next one up.
I may be wrong, regardless it's a prety cheap saw there selling at total tools.
Andy.

Bought one at Bunnings in Sydney about 6 months ago for $699.00 and I think this is a pretty standard price.
Sydney Tools has it listed on the website for $717.00 at the moment.
It's an ok unit but IMO definitely not a thousand dollar saw...

Correction to my last, the mitre saw that Total Tools are selling is infact the Bosch GCM12SD http://www.justtools.com.au/prod2344.htm Just tools are selling it for around $1000
For $699 what do you think? They have since increase it to $799 but the guy said he would do it for $699 for me.
