NZ Carver: the pleasure is in the journey, not in arriving, as any good procrastinator will tell you: my painting inspired relief carving has been in the making for 30 years...

And, just to spite you Spirit and Underfoot, I will make a PEN!

Shaf, Corradi rasps are sold here by Carbatec (page 239 of last catalog).

I suppose Frank's suggestion is more at hand for you , but still:

These are fairly nice-priced tools , of course , you can always buy Auriou - 60 euros for a riffler is not that much when you think of how good this stuff is

P.S.- these German guys ship to Australia - 25 euros for 1 kg , 33 for up to 5 kgs. They charge 12 euros to Spain , and it's one hell of a lot closer !
It's a slow and painful process...the secret is, dont mind the pain.(Ian Norbury)

I thought it was just me! Not that my pieces are that big, but if I sm orking on a group of things for an exhibition , the closer they are to being finished the more house work and gardening get done. Might be a universal thing though! I have even seen a Simpson's episode about it. (Kinda.) The kids had an exam coming up and were supposed to study, but everyone had a need to go outside to play sports for once. If you were having a bay it would be called "the transition", which happens just before the pushing business starts. You just feel like saying B(%#%&*, I'm sick of this and don't feel like it any more. Let's go to the pub. But after a while you just HAVE to get down to business. You'll know when that time is.

    no, not just you TL,
as the deadline looms, the lawn gets mowed, the dog gets a bath, the sock drawer gets rearranged ..... I'm sure the Germans have a word for it.

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

maybe if we finish a piece it will be judged so we hold off as long as we can so we feel its not done yet,it's going to be better

the judge being yourself is what makes it hard

Yep, I fully agree with you. As regards the pen, I assure you it is finished and it is carved, not sanded. And the feather was handpicked.
