Hey all,

Council rubbish pick up day saw a radio/phonograph cabinet made by "Elmy's" of Sydney being turfed.

I cannot find any info on this company other than it was a music house in Sydney that sold sheet music.

Other than going to the national archives and seaching their collection, there little info availabe on the 'web.

The cabinet I have has a registered number for the cabinet design, as well as a serial number for the actual piece.
It has a late '40's Carlson-Stromberg Radio and turntable in it.

I am looking for a source of info on the company, and would like to get as much info as possible... e.g. company history, design patent lodgement, sub-contracting cabinetmakers and so forth.

I have little time available for the rest of the year to get to the National and NSW Archives, and am wondering if anyone has any company history to start me off.

As always, all (sensible!) assistance gratefully received.
