new turnings

[cornucopia]

hello folks
I have tried somthing new (for me) I bought some 2" diameter acrylics rod's- they come in a range of colours-
heres a black marble effect (which i later broke :() and a zebra effect
the threads are 20tpi

I must learn to turn half as well - and then start on chasing threads.

thread chasing's very hard to explain with static pictures so at the end of august a few of us u.k turners are getting together for a day and i think we are going to do a youtube video of the process then. there is a brillant allan batty video avalible which is how i learned. its a very quick processs to do- maybe 4/5 seconds and the thread is chased.

I only said the chasing was quick- trying to get the male and female to fit is another matter :D
