This one was started before the circular saw bit me. Made from black bean, black walnut and silver ash. 350mm in diameter, 8mm thick and stands 30mm high. Still not fully satisfied, but it is getting close. Took about a week in total to make.

Geez, Jim. I am really starting to wonder (and get p$ssed off :D) with what you people can do with wood.

Only a week? You're all killing me.
Great work and don't fall over in the shed.

PP you are a just a tad too critical of your efforts.

Did you wear a face mask when dealing with the Black Bean Can be nasty stuff,

Beautiful work. Your weeks down there must have 14, 15 days or more. CA would do it in a week. What glue are you using?

Texian, I use a pva adhesive, known here as "Tradesmans Choice", it is a Selleys product. Very similar to your Titebond 11.

Artme, yes I do wear a mask when working with black bean, in fact I am wearing a mask more now. Something to do with age.. :)

That is truly awesome...

When looking at posts of woodturning I usually think about the techniques used to make it and come away with an idea or two. All I came up with for this is "Wow. How the heck..."

I have read your WIP on a platter you did a while back, but I still don't get it!

Cheers,
Dave
