I have come into the posession of some timber, which i believe is called mediteranian pine. It has a flakey type of bark(somewhat like tea trees), has a sap between the bark and timber, Its centre when fresh cut is a purple/mauve colour, which i believe turns to a brown walnut type colour.
I'm wondering if anyone can give me more info on this timber and also what it is good for, turning, making small jewelry boxes. And is there anyway to keep its purple/mauve colour. Thanks for any info. :confused: :confused: :confused:
