Hi all, I'm considering downloading songs or whole albums off the web (legaly) and was wondering if anyone could point me to a good site?

Thanks

Ben.

iTunes.

But I still can't figure out why it costs as much to download as it does to buy a physical copy - its not like there are delivery costs, retail margin, packaging, point of sale material and all that other bricks and mortar stuff.

So on second thoughts, my answer is Bittorrent.

Or for a third thought, try http://www.alltunes.com/
They are legal (under Russian law) but you'll only be paying about $2.00 per album or 20 cents per song. Companies are only too happy to outsource production to overseas suppliers, so I don't see why you shouldn't outsource your purchasing.

Agreed, but would you trust them with your credit card details?

I agree, Itunes is the go.

They have my card details stored, I pick the song or album I would like and just download, painless!

Purchased the Essential Michael Jackson the night he passed away, you also get the album artwork.
