I'm heading back to Fiji on the 28 September to cruise/dive on the Tui Tai (http://tuitai.com/index.cfm) for a week, then dive with the sharks whilst staying at Viti Levu (http://www.thepearlsouthpacific.com/) before flying back to Bris on 7 October. I was offered a discount of the 7 day cruise for the 5 day price and couldn't resist.

Then I fly to Melb on 8 October to see my mother for a long weekend. I usually go down the week after for her birthday and stay to catch the WW show, but can't make it this year then. I have arranged lunch with the family on the Sunday for an early birthday.

So, Saturday I'm free for a Forum BBQ some where in Melbourne hint hint hint :please2:

- Let me know if there is any special timbers you want me to bring down for you, although I do have to fit it in the suitcase and all up under 20kgs, so no big poles :-

I will also be bringing some pen blanks for others, even if I do have to put them in my pockets on the plane

I'm off to Fiji tomorrow morning. I'll try to keep in tounch still whilst on the mainland, the hotels have internet, but once on the boat I'll be forum free :(

No room in the case this time, so can't bring back any timber in that, the back-pack still has a little bit though

Currently on the Tui Tai, but have internet access while we are in port picking up new passengers.

Good food, good company and heaps of fantastic diving. Off to Rainbow Reef this afternoon.

Only singles on board are daughters of an American couple 21 & 25, but too much like my own daughter :U

Cheers

Neil did you get affected by the Tsunami

I was diving when we got the warning. We hopped out, up anchored and headed out to sea, but warning was later cancelled.

No problems at around here, although sea levels did decrease at one stage by 1m they said. Our thoughts were wth those from where damage was much worse.

Internet here is very patchy, dial-up with 1-2 bars.

I leave Tui Tai today and back to Pearl resort on mainland for shark dive. If I get eaten I had a good holiday, been great to meet everyone here :U:U

Back in Aus Wed, then down to Melb next weekend :2tsup:

Dear Neil

As per your suggestion yesterday, I have just had a look at your most glorious pics. Gawdy has not yet seen them but I shall say thank you for sharing them with everyone who might be interested. It bought back many fond memories of my own travels through the South Pacific on a much larger boat than what you were on. So clear with strong vibrant colours :2tsup:
