Some simple things for a change. 2 red gum and 1 blackwood little bowls, and a jarrah cup that had a nail hole going right through. All sanded to 400# The red gum and Jarrah finished in hard burnishing oil. (Not yet burnished.) The blackwood finished in EEE and Shithotwax. Biggest is 88mm diameter.

Simple but elegant i reckon :2tsup::2tsup:

I think it's good therapy to just make something sometimes without it being anything special.

Great work TL:2tsup:

Cheers

All-round winning projects TL and they look good too :2tsup:
Simple little bowls like those are great for practicing technique, testing the characteristics of timbers you haven't used before and trialling finishes - and as a bonus, my grand-daughter loves playing with them too. :U

Good to see some simple and elegant ones.I like the bowl with the nail holes.Often pieces of timber with defects are thrown away and not used.http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/smilies/actions/2thumbsup.gif

IMO, simple bowls are the hardest to do..... well.

But, when well done they sing to the soul.
