I have just installed a Colchester Bantam and discovered the topslide travel is quite a bit short of the value specified in the manual - 60 vs 92 mm.
It seems short on the headstock end as the overhang seems excessive.
The manual shows an exploded view of the topslide and I will soon attack the problem.
Does anyone have any comments as to what could cause such a problem ?
Anyone else operating a Bantam ?
Happy machining,
John.
