Hi everyone,
A treelopper mate of mine brought me some logs the other day.

Half are Mulberry and the rest look quite similar to Mulberry, but according to him and his boss they didn't come from a mulberry tree. The Timber looks very similar, but much more orange. There is a thick, sticky milky white sap from the sapwood. Any ideas?

I have uploaded pics of the whole log of the unidentified timber, then a couple of burls: the one on the left is Mulberry and the right one I need identified. The bark is much finer. Note that both trees were cut about 2 weeks ago on the same day, and I cut both burls off at the same time.
Thanks in advance for any help someone could offer!

Whatever it is the grain is striking.

Any idea of what the leaves are like???

Looks like all mulberry to me. The unidentified one looks to be a more juvenile bark, hence smoother.

The bark looks a bit like Jacaranda, but the timber of Jacaranda is generally whiter in colour.
