Folks,

Can any of you recommend a high quality machining shop here in Melbourne pls? I am after a shop do to some machining of broken cast iron parts off a machine I recently acquired.

The work I want done is quite small and would therefore suit a small operator set up to do one-offs, rather than production work. Am after quality work rather than price.

Thank you.

Richard

No, but I can recommend someone in Moorabbin who'll be very rude, treat you like crap and yell at you. On the up-side though, his employee apologised (and suggested I try the guys around the corner) to me as I walked out.

So, did you end up taking the employee's advice? R

No, the work wasn't necessary after all.

A general location would help with your inquiry.

Know of a guy in Bayswater, I think he is in Bayswater or close to there, anyway from what I've seen he does good work. If you want his details PM me and I'll pass them on.

No, I was ignorant - he was impatient and bad tempered. He was in the middle of a hissyfit when I arrived. I had actually dealt with him before, can't believe I went back. Just a bad tempered SOB.
