Good Evening Friends,
There are four different other ways to align boards when you are going to glue up for a table top or other piece of furniture.

Can you name them?

Respectfully, :)

Good Evening Friends,
Well, it appears that I stumped you fellows on this one.
The answer is; All you need is glue to make super-strong edge joints. However, long stock can be tricky to keep lined up while clamping. You can reduce your stress level with one of these methods.
Biscuits, spline dowel or with a routed profile. dowels are hardly used today as the have to be précised in alignment to make the board edge align.

Thank you for your support.

Respectfully, :)

Good one Ralph,
Further to that,
Is the jig for doing the doweling, have 'Holed' slides [2 or 3] which one can position along twin sliding rods?
With clamps at both ends..........

I have a couple somewhere under the heaps
This sounds like an option for my benchtop.
